Service Projects & Fundraisers:

Gadsden's projects and accomplishments are numerous. They include restoration and renovation of the H-G-B House with the goal of making this facility a living museum for Gadsden and surrounding areas, purchase of furniture and other items for the 13th Place, placement of a fountain on the lake and a bench near Moragne Park as part of our Make a Difference Day projects, providing books for Success by Six Celebrate Kids Day and the United Way Family Success Center, providing scholarships for graduating seniors and WETOC graduates, sponsoring the Etowah Youth Orchestras Fall Formal Concert, organizing receptions for GED graduates, and volunteering for the Salvation Army holiday activities.

Our major fund-raiser is the annual Antique Show and Sale. This fund-raiser is held each year the first week of February. More than two dozen art dealers from AL, GA, FL and TN bring antique books, furniture, linens, estate jewelry, glass and china. The club realizes a profit between $8,000 and $10,000. The 2006 Antique Show and Sale will be the 39th year for this successful program.
