Welcome to our District Four Web site!
The mission statement of District Four, Altrusa International, Inc., is to create opportunities for members to improve the quality of life through community service, to develop leadership and to foster understanding of our world and its future.
For 2007-2009, our Biennium Theme is "Leaders in Service – Wild About Altrusa!" Within our 24 clubs throughout Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, Altrusa Clubs are making great strides in their communities with high enthusiasm for literacy and many other community service projects. We exhibit a passion for meeting community needs and providing to our professional and business members opportunities for leadership and fellowship.

Altrusa is an international network of executives and professionals in diversified career classifications, dedicated to improving their communities by personal service. Through their local clubs, members unite their varied talents in service to others. Altrusa is recognized internationally for the significant contributions of its clubs and members.

District Four is composed of 24 clubs in the states of Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Altrusa District Four is one of 15 Districts of Altrusa International. Each district has a Governor with a 2 year term.
